This Finite Element Analysis training course is specifically for those who would like to gain an understanding in the use of Finite Element Analysis produce 'right first time' and 'minimum' design principles when working within a 3D design environment. Finite Element Analysis has emerged as a process that plays a vital part in keeping weight to a minimum and results in components that are designed at their optimum. The objective of this course is to provide delegates with a good introduction in the use of FE-based tools and how to use them within a 3D computer aided domain to design and optimise products. Because of the nature of this course, there is a maximum of one delegate to one course tutor.
FEA is widely used as a powerful technique to identify design solutions to challenging structural analysis problems. For engineers that are new to this concept and who want to work with these powerful design methods are often put off by the steep learning curve required. This one day course will introduce you to the effective use of finite element analysis in a hands on way. This is done through providing guidance using practical examples of this process and applying it to real world problems. Delegates are shown the background to FEA with the minimum of theoretical work. The course offers one to one guidance on how to assess and plan the task of carrying out a structural analysis using FEA.
This one day Finite Element Analysis course covers a variety of topics which look at the most important aspects of FEA. Here are the topics which feature in the course:
Finite element analysis overview
Design variables
Mesh optimisation
Example one - plate with a 10mm hole
Applying single point, multiple point constraints and load forces
Example two - beam with spanning elements
Component optimisation
This course is aimed at engineers who wish to learn about how to apply finite element analysis-based techniques in an effective manner. This course is perfect for engineers aiming to use FEA as a reliable predictive tool for stress and displacement analysis. Companies moving into FEA technology will also find this course of use in order to improve product designs or assess prototype failures or speed of the design process. This course is perfect for those who are interested in learning the Finite Element Analysis approach to design assessment. The assessment, validation and interpretation of FEA results are vital for delivering safe, reliable and effective products.
Investing in good training is a wise decision for improving productivity and also development on enhancing existing skills. As a leading training consultancy we offer tailored training to ensure that you have the high degree of skill required for today's modern Computer Aided Design related world.
Whether you are investing in a new CAD system or would just like to get up and running with CAD quickly then our courses will be perfect for you. The self-learning process of teaching yourself CAD can take a lot of time and unless structured properly can lead to lower productivity initially, or even the development of bad practices. React 2 Training Ltd is an experienced CAD training consultancy, enabling us to provide constructive and relevant tuition. All trainees are given their own dedicated touch screen workstation whilst receiving personal attention required. Our state of the art training centre is conveniently located in South Wales and within easy reach from the M4. Our training courses are led by current industry professionals who have years of hands-on experience. This means that our exercises use real-life examples and scenarios.
What is CAD?
CAD is not just a skill that permits the design of physical objects but it allows for testing of how complex assemblies are fitted together. It is used by engineers, land developers, architects, mechanical engineers and other design professionals to design, visualise, document and communicate their ideas clearly and efficiently. Two and three dimensional Computer Aided Design is used to produce accurate drawing with ease, offering the user flexibility to transform and present drawings instantaneously.
What courses do we offer?
We offer a range of CAD courses, which will suit beginners as well as experienced users. There are no qualification restrictions or age restrictions. All we ask is that you have a good understanding of basic computer use.
Entry requirements
No previous CAD experience or experience is necessary. However, any previous experience of drafting, design or engineering is a plus. It is also recommended that delegates have a working knowledge of Microsoft Windows 7.
Why CAD training?
Following College or University courses, your CAD skills will go rusty if not used. Gone are the days when you could walk straight into a job because it takes time. Lack of up to date and current CAD skills is the main reason why most students would fail a CAD skills assessment at a job interview. These skills assessments are becoming more popular with employers as they wish to avoid expensive recruitment mistakes.
What is included in the booking?
Training with an expert CAD trainer and current industry professional
A full and extensive manual for you to take home
A comfortable, state of the art, air conditioned training environment
Design exercises that you have been working on during the day, please bring a USB stick
How is the course delivered?
The course is delivered at out centre in South Wales; and has been structured to give you the most flexible training available. Tutorial books are issued so that you can work at your own pace. Forget classroom environments where everyone needs to be on the same page, as you will be able to go through the exercises until you are confident in your abilities.
In addition to this course we can deliver bespoke training to specifically cover aspects of CAD such as 2D design, 3D design, refresher courses and beginners courses. These can be tailored to suit the needs of our delegates or to achieve a specified goal upon completion.
Our training approach focuses on small groups led by friendly trainers, ensuring a non-judgemental and comfortable environment where everyone feels supported.
Effortlessly upskill your teams with on-site expert training, saving time and promoting a comfortable learning environment.
Some of our courses can be delivered online with a live trainer. Checkout our guidance on online learning.
