2D CAD - Course Overview

The aim of this 2D CAD training course is to cover the main production tools to allow the delegate to effectively produce 2D CAD drawings to a standard using the appropriate techniques. This course is a great start for those who would like to get to grips with CAD design from an intensive course. The goal of this course is to get you quickly up and running, and to introduce you to the user interface and a variety of 2D CAD drawing and editing tools. Because of the nature of this course, there is a maximum of two delegates to one course tutor.

This introduction to 2D CAD course will give delegates foundation knowledge in the use of this powerful drafting techniques that are used across multiple design, architectural and engineering companies worldwide. You will build up your knowledge of essential drawing and drafting tools which enables users to leave the course with a confident foundation knowledge that will allow them to explore the higher functionality.

This one day 2D CAD training course provides you with introduction to 2D CAD and will teach CAD skills which are vital for today's engineering environment. On completion of this course, delegates will have a good understanding of drawing lines, properties and snaps, editing 2D geometries, creating polygons, circles and arcs. As well as scaling, copying and rotating points and curves. You will be able to use drawing commands, performing modifications and printing your 2D designs.

What is CAD?

What courses do we offer?

We offer a range of CAD courses, which will suit beginners as well as experienced users. There are no qualification restrictions or age restrictions. All we ask is that you have a good understanding of basic computer use.

Entry requirements

No previous CAD experience or experience is necessary. However, any previous experience of drafting, design or engineering is a plus. It is also recommended that delegates have a working knowledge of Microsoft Windows 7.

How is the course delivered?

Forget classroom environments where everyone needs to be on the same page, as you will be able to go through the exercises until you are confident in your abilities.

In addition to this course we can deliver bespoke training to specifically cover aspects of CAD such as 2D design, 3D design, refresher courses and beginners courses. These can be tailored to suit the needs of our delegates or to achieve a specified goal upon completion.
