Meetings are an integral part of communication and management across an organisation. Well run meetings are timed, concise, solve issues, create goals, generate ideas, increase productivity, are inclusive and raise morale. In an effective meeting the attendees feel that their input is valued by the organisation and they won't be judged for raising an idea or concern. Badly run meetings on the other hand waste time, create conflict, reduce resources and have little or no benefit. A negative environment for a meeting can lead to poor decision making.
Our Effective Meetings course based in Bridgend (and Online) has been designed so that delegates are able to analyse the effectiveness of their current meetings and how to implement a systemic approach to meetings that saves time and money whilst also gaining better input from the group. Delegates will learn how to develop a real structure so that meetings run more smoothly. They will also learn how to use a range of facilitation tools such as:
Fishbone diagramming
Affinity diagramming
Forcefield Analysis
Action learning
This will enable them to demonstrate real tangible outcomes at the end of the meeting whilst also engaging fully with every member of the meeting. Delegates will also use a range of techniques on how to deal with difficult meeting members so that disruptive influences can be controlled.
